Adam Dickens is the founder of Dickens Candles, a sustainably crafted candle brand.

With an MBA and a background in marketing, Adam leveraged his business expertise and maker skills to create hand-poured soy wax candles in upcycled beer bottles, blending sustainability with thoughtful design. Since launching in 2016, he has found innovative and highly effective ways to expand wholesale, now placing Dickens Candles in shops across the country.

Adam initially built his business while working full-time as a marketing manager, but as demand grew, he made the leap into full-time entrepreneurship. Balancing a growing company and an active family life, he also serves as the primary caretaker for his three young children, supporting his wife’s corporate career while running his business. Based in Elmhurst, Illinois, Adam continues to scale Dickens Candles with a focus on sustainability, using renewable soy wax, eco-friendly packaging, and scents for any space.
